Pre-Fall Home Edit

PRE-FALL-HOME-EDIT.jpg

Shoulder season is upon us, that period between peak travel season and the holidays, but also the transitional time of year when it’s still warm during the day, but it is getting cooler (and darker a little earlier) at night. As we start spending more time indoors, it is the perfect reason to invest in some small touches to make your home feel inviting and intimate. I am currently loving these picks for a little pre-fall home refresh:

1 // With its generous size and soft hand, this faux mohair throw is perfect for keeping folded at the foot of the bed for increasingly chilly nights, or draped casually over your favorite chair.

2 // Don’t have a fireplace to curl up in front of? No worries. Simply light this Diptyque candle, close your eyes, and prepare to be transported. Think crackling wood-burning fireplace, or nostalgic campfire scent, only way more layered, complex and sophisticated. Display under a glass cloche, such as this one, when not in use for an extra dose of style.

3 // Think of these tassels like jewelry for your doorknobs. They’re unexpected, and are a relatively small detail that can have a major impact on the overall feel of your space.

4 // This rug is the perfect size to use in an entryway, in front of the kitchen sink, or even in the bathroom. The construction is durable enough for high traffic areas, yet the pretty pattern and slight distressing are a welcome upgrade from the usual, everyday styles found in these more utilitarian areas.

5 // Burl wood is having a serious moment, and I for one, am here for it. These trays are at once sleek and modern while also adding a hint of vintage flair to your space.  Use them on a coffee table to organize drink coasters and other small items, or to display a pretty stack of coffee table books. They would also look amazing on top of a bar cart or liquor cabinet, filled with some cut crystal glasses and decanters.

There you have it, five easy pieces to bring style and eclectic sophistication to your space this fall. Carefully curated, cozy, and cruelty-free.
